
PEXEGO INFORMACION SYSTEMS S.L. Is a spin off of the University of Santiago, and started life as an IEBT (Technologically Based business Initiativ), certified by the Galician Government. It works in the sphere of new information and communication technologies, concentrating on three well-defined business areas:
- Aplications in open software made to mesure for enterprises, especially in on-line support (ERPs, electronic commerce, management, etc)
- E-learning projects, and educational and informative multimedia materials.
- Social and Industrial simulators and on-line/off-line process.
In the last few years PEXEGO has adopted free software as a key element in the development of its products, thus participating in the development of free code within the framework of the knowledge society. This entry into free software has brought about the creation and liberation of certain products.
Pexego belongs to the INEO multisectorial association of new technologies, as well as to AGASOL, the association of free software enterprises. Pexego is also present in numerous Galician technological platforms.
Certification and classification
Pexego holds the classification V2c and V5a enabling it to tender for official contracts, and at this time is in the process of obtaining the CMM12 software quality distinction along with ISO27000 for information security.
